Taming the Elephant: Developing a Cumulative Effects Assessment (CEA) toolbox for sustainable Wetlands Management. The toolbox for CEA being developed exemplifies, how academic research and local development interests can complement each other. Not only did one of the resulting theses win the AIT thesis competition in 2009, the emerging CEA model also generated interest from international development agencies such as UNEP.
